Okay if you were to actually pay attention to my poem instead of being so quick to judge you would see that my poem wasn’t written to denigrate other black women. I never said that I’m not like those other ghetto black women. What I said is, “Unlike the many stereotypes of black women, the same hair that grows from my scalp touches my back.” I said that because most other races have a stereotype set out for black women that all of us only wear weave and don’t have our own long hair weather it be natural or straightened. I never used the word ghetto. I was saying that as a contradiction to the stereotype, although my skin is black I do have my own long hair instead of weave. The purpose of the poem is to say that one day I will rise above all the people in my life that ever doubted me because I’m so different with my weird personality and my different opinions. So tell me, who’s the idiot now? Don’t come at me unless you can back that shit up. Your dismissed.
